This Might Hurt Documentary premieres in Austin

After significant crowdfunding, a new TMS documentary has premiered last Friday 25th October at the Austin Film Festival - This Might Hurt features Dr Howard Schubiner as the main ‘protagonist’, one of the most prominent physicians who treats TMS patients in the US.

The storyline of This Might Hurt

This Might Hurt is directed by Kurt Basset and Marion Cunningham, two-award winning directors and producers, and follows the story of three chronic pain patients who have tried the TMS approach as a last-resort. The subject focuses on the patients’ emotional lives, revealing how they’ve tried various conventional and non-conventional treatments for their chronic pain, without much success.

But that’s until they meet Dr Schubiner and undergo an intensive TMS program that starts to change their lives, making what they believed to be impossible ‘possible’! In This Might Hurt, Schubiner also presents some recent findings in neuroscience that back the TMS approach. Exceptionally-directed, This Might Hurt seeks to get to the core of what causes chronic pain in the first place and what keeps it alive. The documentary may even be the best effort to date when it comes to raising awareness about the true cause of the pain epidemic in the Western world.
